Ingredients
-
2 medium potatoes (russet, Yukon gold, or red)
-
1 tbsp olive oil or spray oil
-
Salt to taste
-
Optional seasonings: paprika, chili lime, ranch, truffle salt, etc.
Instructions
1. Slice Thin
Use a mandoline or sharp knife to slice your potatoes super thin—aim for 1/16 inch.
2. Soak & Dry
Soak slices in cold water for 20–30 minutes. Drain and dry completely with a towel—moisture is the enemy of crisp!
3. Season
Toss dry potato slices with oil and salt (plus any other flavorings you love).
4. Air Fry
Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Arrange slices in a single layer (work in batches). Cook for 8–12 minutes, shaking or flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.
5. Cool & Enjoy
Let chips cool for a couple of minutes—they crisp up even more as they rest!
Notes
Don’t Crowd – Cook in a single layer for even crisping.
Watch Closely – Chips can go from perfect to burnt in seconds.
Customize Flavors – Try BBQ spice, vinegar powder, Cajun, or even cinnamon sugar!
Crisp Too Soon? – If some chips cook faster, pull them out early and let the rest finish.
