Ingredients

Makes about 4 servings:

  • 6 small corn tortillas (or flour tortillas)

  • 1½ tbsp olive oil or avocado oil

  • ½ tsp salt

Optional Flavor Boosters:

  • ½ tsp chili powder

  • ¼ tsp garlic powder

  • ¼ tsp paprika

  • Lime zest or juice

  • Nutritional yeast or parmesan for cheesy chips

  • Cinnamon sugar for a sweet twist


Instructions

Step 1: Cut the Tortillas
Stack tortillas and cut into 6 or 8 equal wedges using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.

Step 2: Season the Chips
Place tortilla wedges in a bowl.
Drizzle with oil and sprinkle with salt.
Add optional seasonings if desired.
Toss to coat evenly on both sides.

Step 3: Air Fry the Chips
Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 2–3 minutes.
Place tortilla pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Work in batches if necessary—don’t overcrowd.
Air fry for 6–8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
Keep an eye on them during the last few minutes to avoid burning.

Step 4: Cool & Serve
Remove chips and let them cool for 2–3 minutes.
They will continue to crisp as they cool.
Serve with your favorite dip or enjoy on their own!

Notes

Use Corn Tortillas – They yield a crispier chip with authentic flavor.

Don’t Overcrowd – Fry in a single layer to ensure even cooking.

Toss While Warm – Add extra seasoning right after cooking for best flavor adherence.
