For the Cream Cheese Layer:

8 oz cream cheese, softened
-
1 cup powdered sugar
-
1 cup whipped topping (store-bought or homemade)
For the Pudding Layer:
-
2 boxes (3.4 oz each) instant vanilla pudding mix
-
3 cups cold milk
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
3 medium bananas, sliced
For the Top Layer:
-
1½ cups whipped topping
-
Crushed vanilla wafers or wafer crumbs, for garnish
-
Extra banana slices for garnish (add right before serving)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Crust
Crush the vanilla wafers using a food processor or by placing them in a sealed bag and smashing with a rolling pin.
In a bowl, mix the crushed cookies with melted butter until well combined.
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish to form an even crust.
Chill in the fridge while you make the next layer.
Step 2: Make the Cream Cheese Layer
In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
Fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated.
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust using a spatula.
Step 3: Prepare the Pudding Layer
In a large bowl, whisk together instant pudding mix, milk, and vanilla extract for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
Let sit for another minute to firm up.
Layer banana slices over the cream cheese layer, covering evenly.
Gently spread the pudding mixture on top of the banana layer.
Step 4: Add the Final Layer
Spread whipped topping evenly over the pudding layer.
Smooth it out with a spatula to create a fluffy, finished top.
Step 5: Chill & Garnish
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
Just before serving, garnish with crushed vanilla wafers and fresh banana slices.
Cut into squares and serve cold.
Notes
Use Firm Bananas – They hold up better in the layers without browning quickly.
Chill Thoroughly – This dessert needs time to set, so don’t skip the chilling step.
Slice Carefully – A sharp knife helps create clean squares when serving.
Add Bananas Last – For the topping, slice and add bananas just before serving to prevent browning.
Make It Extra Fancy – Top with a drizzle of caramel or chocolate sauce for a decadent touch.
