- 1 cup marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for spice)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Breading Station
- Pour buttermilk into a shallow bowl.
- In another bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
Step 2: Coat the Ravioli
- Dip each ravioli into the buttermilk, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Dredge in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to coat evenly.
Step 3: Fry the Ravioli
- In a large skillet, heat ½ inch of vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the ravioli in batches for 1–2 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Use a slotted spoon to transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Step 4: Make the Marinara Dipping Sauce
- In a small saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add marinara sauce, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 5: Serve & Enjoy!
- Garnish fried ravioli with chopped parsley and serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
Use Fresh or Frozen Ravioli – If using frozen, thaw before breading.
Fry in Batches – Avoid overcrowding the pan for an even fry.
Keep Warm in the Oven – If making a large batch, keep fried ravioli in a 200°F (95°C) oven until serving.
