½ tsp paprika

Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Hash Browns
Place thawed hash browns in a clean towel or cheesecloth and squeeze out as much moisture as possible. The drier the potatoes, the crispier the waffles.
Step 2: Mix the Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine hash browns, eggs, mozzarella or cheddar cheese, Parmesan, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
Step 3: Preheat and Grease the Waffle Iron
Turn on your waffle iron and allow it to preheat fully.
Spray with non-stick cooking spray or brush lightly with melted butter to prevent sticking.
Step 4: Cook the Waffles
Scoop about ¾ to 1 cup of the potato mixture into the center of the hot waffle iron (depending on its size).
Close the lid and cook for 5–7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Do not open the waffle iron too soon—let it fully crisp before checking.
Step 5: Serve with Your Favorite Toppings
Carefully remove the waffle and serve hot.
Top with sour cream, avocado slices, fried eggs, or hot sauce based on your preference.
Notes
Squeeze Out Moisture – This is essential for crispy waffles. Use a towel or paper towels.
Be Patient – Let the waffles cook until they’re deeply golden before opening the iron.
Use Cheese Generously – It helps bind the mixture and adds rich flavor.
Customize – Add cooked vegetables, beef sausage crumbles, or herbs for variation.
